John Morris’s personal philosophy has been to encourage small businesses in regional Queensland to ‘think outside the square’ and their own backyard. He firmly believes that small regionally-based companies can and are world competitive in securing export opportunities.

Banksia Pacific has demonstrated this by its own achievements in the area of food service exports, in particular in relation to its catering support and other services to visiting international defence organisations, like the Singapore Armed Forces and the United States Navy.

The enticing export market was underwritten by the development of a sound domestic base. This was achieved by a diversified mix of retail butchering, wholesale meat distribution, café and restaurant investment, Qantas Inflight Catering and organising and catering for major events.
